The Restored Watermills

Embark on a journey to the well-established and restored mills as your guided by experts. Unlock the tales and history associated with the sites.

The mills are energy symbols. Each mill has its own unique design and story, and the tour brings these to life through engaging demonstrations and historical insights. As you move through the site, you'll discover how the mills evolved over the centuries and played a vital role in the community’s economy and daily life.

The expert guides dive into the workings of the mills and take you back to the monastic times in Ireland. While on tour, you will discover how wind and water were harnessed. There are both indoor and outdoor elements to the tour that will leave you with memories lasting a lifetime.

Skerries is an iconic site within itself due to the geographic ties to Saint Patrick. The town itself has multiple, beautiful paths and landscapes, perfect and catered to exploration. Whether you’re watching the sails turn in the breeze or hearing the soothing rhythm of the working waterwheel, this tour offers a captivating glimpse into Ireland’s rich industrial heritage.
