Discover Craanford Mills, a unique early 17th-century heritage site dating back to 1610. This working museum, complete with a restored and operational water wheel, is housed in a charming, domestic-scale structure.

Lovingly restored to full working order by the Lyons family, this corn-grinding mill opened to the public in 1994. It was highly commended in the Henry Ford Conservation Awards in 1996 and narrowly missed first prize in the Heritage Category.

Visitors can view the mill's workings, accompanied by interpretive data and explanatory exhibits. For the 21st-century visitor, the watermill at Craanford village evokes a sense of romance and nostalgia.

A very interesting visit to a restored Water Mill in Wexford. John who's family have owned the mill back generations gave an excellent and informative talk.
We got a full demonstration of the Mill working plus excellent home made scones and apple tart in the cosy Tea Rooms. Definitely recommend a visit.
